.NET based job/action execution scheduling component and service. Impact Scheduler allows you to easily integrate direct Method invocation, Web Services invocation, Database Actions, MSMQ, and Web requests into logically grouped jobs that can be executed on any given scheduled interval. Monitoring a web server or web service, triggering local or remote methods on objects, starting logically grouped jobs such as database loads & reports can all be easily defined as a job schedule.

Impact Scheduler 2.0 is an Enterprise Job Scheduler providing an easy to use framework for seamlessly integrating the automatic execution of Jobs that are Triggered into execution either by Date/Time patterns or a repeated time interval.  Impact Scheduler's metadata driven "Set It and Forget It" scheduler can be easily embedded within your own ASP.NET or .NET applications, run as a standalone server, or as a Windows Service.

Lightweight Job Scheduling - Automate repetitive tasks thus reducing errors and downtime with minimal system resource usage.

Flexible Job Definition - The Impact Scheduler provides the ability to define a set of Jobs comprised of:

• a Trigger for the Job that is based either on a Date/Time pattern or a repeating interval that kicks  the job into execution.
• a Job is a collection of Actions
• a Job has a single Compensation Action that will only be executed should any Action in the Job fail

Every Action Definition exposes metadata about itself  that exposes all input and output parameters for that Action.

Automated Error and Exception Management - Every Job can also be configured to have a "Compensation Action" that will only execute should an Action in the Job produce an Error. (much like an RDBMS rollback)

Version 2.0 of Impact Scheduler now includes built-in Actions for:

• FTP file transfer automation - upload, download, copy, delete or rename files on an FTP server
• Validate/monitor HTTP Servers or Web Services - ensure that critical resources are available
• File System operations - check on the existence of files, copy, move, and delete files
• RDBMS SQL automation - execute queries, ping if alive, unload and load tables to CSV files
• SMTP automation - send email to Pagers, Smart Phones, Blackberry Devices, or any Server
• Easy to implement ActionDefinition API interface - completely customizable Actions
• Execute Existing Resources - any windows script or executable can also be easily integrated into an Action
• Create Actions -  automate Report generation and distribution with ease

The Impact Scheduler provides a complete audit trail of log events that can be stored in a number of ways including being stored in the Windows EventLog queue.
