Advanced query builder add-in for Visual Studio Business Intelligence Developer Studio (BIDS) and Reporting Services. Intelligencia Query for BIDS and Reporting Services was developed in co-operation with well known Mdx guru Chris Webb, Intelligencia Query for BIDS and Reporting Services delivers add-in functionality for Visual Studio that transforms the task of creating OLAP reports with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services. State-of-the-art query tools are combined with a custom data extension that understands how OLAP reporting should work.Implemented using the Microsoft Fluid user interface the query builder is simple to use but also provides a high level of functionality for advanced users including, for example, the ability to create asymmetric queries and parameterized reports. Unlike standard Reporting Services you create queries the way you wish to see them displayed, making the process intuitive and the Mdx generated more efficient. The custom data extension provided with IQ renders these queries directly to the matrix layout control without having to transform the data into a flattened rowset.

What’s New in Intelligencia Query for BIDS and Reporting Services V2.1x? - Support for the table Report item - Release 2.1.0 of Intelligencia Query provides support for the table report item thus increasing the reporting options. There is no need to use the ODBO driver for Analysis Services to build tabular reports, instead the custom data extension provides a dataset with separate columns that can be freely formatted as you wish.

• The custom data extension allows any piece of Mdx to be rendered without having to conform to standard Reporting Services restrictions. In many cases this can significantly reduce the amount of data that has to be retrieved in order to render a report.
