What’s new in Essential Chart Windows Forms 2008 Vol 4?

• Interlaced Grid - You can now interlace major and minor grids on the x- and y-axis. Fill color can also be specified.
• Watermark support - Essential Chart now allows users to add watermarks to chart areas. The watermark can be text, an image, or a combination of both. Font color and position of the watermark can also be customized.
• Minor grid lines - Essential Chart provides support for minor grid lines; you can differentiate major and minor grid lines using different colors and styles.
• AutoFormat support - Along with its existing palette support, Essential Chart now provides support for various AutoFormats, which, with a single click, can change the entire appearance of a chart’s background, gridlines, and font color.
• Hiding tabs in chart dialogs - You can hide a tab in a chart dialog if you don’t want the end user to access it.
• Improved divide-area support - The divide area has been improved—for pie, pyramid and funnel charts—to separately show the series title under each section.
• Space between points in 2-D mode - Now you can specify spacing between points in addition to spacing between series.
• Class reference - The Essential Chart Windows class reference has been completely revamped.

What’s new in Essential Chart Windows Forms 2008 Vol 3?

• New Clustered 3-D View -Visualize 3-D data clearly with the new clustered rendering mode.   A series of data will be clearly spaced along the z-axis to improve visual clarity.
• Rich Border Styles -Enhance the appearance of charts using rich border styles built into the chart.  Thirteen different border styles are included with extensive customization options.
• Enhanced Scale Break Feature -The Scale Break feature has been enhanced to better reflect real-world data display.
• Horizontal Error Bars -Error bars are used to visually highlight data boundaries plotted on a chart.  This release adds support for horizontal error bars in addition to vertical error bars, which were already supported.
• Samples Enhancement - Most of the samples have been revamped to give a consistent look and feel in order to clearly show all the features.

Visual Appearance - Several chart types can be rendered in 3D mode, the background for different portions of a chart can be customized with gradients or images, you can easily specify a custom palette that the chart can pick colors from automatically, and support for shadow effects, etc. is also included.

Axes Features - Support for secondary axes, grid lines in the chart area, auto-scaled axis ranges, axes ticks, axes strip lines, custom axis range origin, and more.

Visual Elements - Customizable Chart Legends used to represent series in a chart are available. Multi-row Chart Titles is also supported.

Export Options - A chart can be exported as an image into Excel or converted to an Excel Chart using Syncfusion Essential XlsIO. You can also export a Chart as an image or in SVG format into Word or PDF documents.

User Interaction - Essential Chart provides a very user-friendly runtime experience, with features such auto-highlighting, interactive cursors, tooltip at different chart areas, context sensitive menus, and more.
