Beyond Compare は、ユーザー単位またはワークステーション単位のいずれかでライセンスされます。1ユーザーライセンスは、任意の台数のコンピューターで BC を使用する1人、または複数人がアクセスする1台のワークステーションを対象とします。
Site License は、組織内の1つの物理的な場所で無制限のユーザーを許可します。
Enterprise License は、複数の拠点にわたる組織内の無制限のユーザーを許可します。
Beyond Compare には Standard と Pro の2つのエディションがあります。Standard Edition は、強力で多機能な比較ツールです。Pro Edition には、Standard のすべての機能に加えて、さらに高度な機能が含まれます。
Beyond Compare は、Windows、MacOS X、およびいくつかの一般的な Linux ディストリビューションで利用できます。2016年1月1日以降に購入されたライセンスは、すべてのプラットフォームで使用できます。以前の単一プラットフォーム向けライセンスは、無料でマルチプラットフォームへアップグレードできます。
Beyond Compare のライセンスは永続的です。特定のメジャーバージョンのライセンスを購入した後は、ライセンス契約を遵守する限り、そのバージョンを追加費用なしで永久に使用できます。
Upgrade Protection
新しいライセンスを購入すると、自動的に12か月の Upgrade Protection が付与されます。つまり、ご購入から12か月以内にメジャーアップグレードがリリースされた場合、そのアップグレードを無料で入手できます。自動的な Upgrade Protection が付与されるのは、ライセンスに対して定価を支払った場合のみです。新しいメジャーバージョンへアップグレードするために半額を支払った場合には、再設定されません。メジャーバージョンを1つ飛ばして定価でアップグレードした場合、それは実質的に新しいライセンスとなり、さらに12か月の Upgrade Protection が付与されます。
Annual Maintenance (Site and Enterprise only)
無制限ライセンスまたは Enterprise ライセンスをお持ちで、ライセンス費用を年単位で予算化したい場合は、当時のライセンス価格の20%で Upgrade Protection を毎年更新できます。Upgrade Protection の期限が切れた場合、アップグレードを購入する時点でのみ、アップグレード価格（50%）に加えて年額（20%）を支払うことで再設定できます。アップグレードの取引により、新しい Upgrade Protection の更新基準日が設定されます。
