• ACP Agent Registry is now available in JetBrains IDEs - You can browse a list of ACP-compatible coding agents and install them with a single click. This makes it easy to try different agents for different tasks and switch between them as needed, all within the same chat interface. What’s more, you don’t need a JetBrains AI subscription to use ACP agents.
• Codex is now natively integrated into the AI chat - Codex joins a growing set of coding agents you can choose from, all offered from the same AI chat interface to give you real flexibility in how you work inside your IDE. You can now access it via JetBrains AI, or connect using your own OpenAI API key or ChatGPT account.
• Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) in JetBrains IDEs - Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) is now available in the AI chat inside JetBrains IDEs as well as for AI agents, including JetBrains Junie and Claude Agent. Whether you're looking to use cutting-edge frontier models, cost-efficient small models, locally hosted private models, or experimental research previews, BYOK makes it easy to bring them all directly into your JetBrains IDE - with no JetBrains AI subscription required.
• Junie integrated into the AI chat - Junie is now available in the same chat interface, you can switch between agents seamlessly and get the right kind of assistance for every task. The easiest way to start working with Junie now is to launch it directly from the AI chat; however, the Junie plugin will still be available for you if you prefer it this way.
• Next edit suggestions are generally available - The next edit suggestions feature is now enabled in all JetBrains IDEs for JetBrains AI Pro, AI Ultimate, and AI Enterprise subscribers.
