• EBA data quality checks - The European Banking Authority recommends optional data quality checks in addition to the mandatory validations under the EBA XBRL taxonomy. These checks help reporting institutions improve data accuracy and meet regulatory requirements before submission. While they are optional, using these extra checks can reduce the risk of errors and improve compliance. The EBA XBRL add-in for Excel now allows users to run these additional quality checks on EBA XBRL documents, offering a key advantage over other XBRL tools that may not support them.
• Improve linking of validation messages to cell contents - When a validation error is reported in the Messages window, the add-in provides a hyperlink to the affected cell. This functionality has been improved in the newest version.
• Display of and filtering by entry point URI - Entry point URIs are now shown in the Entry Point selection dialog and can be used for filtering.
