１ソフトウェアライセンス契約がマシン毎に必要です。
ランタイムロイヤリティは無償ではありません、すべての PDFlib インストールはそれ自身のライセンスを必要とします、（開発で、あるいは PDFlib を含んでいるエンドユーザーアプリケーションのユーザとして） PDFlib を動かしているそれぞれのマシンがライセンスを持っていることは必要条件です。

事例１：ソフトウェア会社が自社のシステムに PDFlib のインストールを希望している場合。 会社のローカルマシンの上に PDFlibで作業する必要のある４人の開発者チームを持っているとします。
必要なライセンス：４マシンライセンス。

事例２：ソフトウェア会社が１つの CPU のサーバーにPDFlib インストールを希望している場合。 サーバーにアクセスする４人の開発者のチームを持っていて、しかしコンポーネントは常にサーバーで実行されているとします。
必要なライセンス：１マシンライセンス

事例３：事例２と同じ状況、しかしサーバーは２つの CPU を持っている場合。
必要なライセンス：１マシンライセンス
