I needed a text editor that could handle large files. I'm involved in a major conversion project and must vet extracts from legacy systems to be loaded into a modern system. To verify that the extracted data is identical to the loaded data, one must see it. Prior to purchasing UltraEdit this was almost impossible.

have been using a VERY old version for many years. Have just purchased this latest version as I have just bought a new computer to install it on. Always been very happy with it.

Excellent editor. The ability to run javascript add-ons helps me also.
