Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Introduction

This statement sets down the ComponentSource commitment to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its business activities and the steps the Company has put in place with the aim of ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our own business and supply chains. ComponentSource recognizes that everyone has a duty to be alert to risks, however small.  Employees are expected to report their concerns and management to act upon them.

Organisational Structure And Supply Chains

This statement covers the business activities of the ComponentSource Group which are as follows:

  • The sourcing and supply of licensed software tools and components for software developers, provision of information and data about available tools and components and e-commerce driven web-based services to enable customers to evaluate and buy software products in the ComponentSource catalog.
  • The Company currently operates in the following countries:
  • The United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, the Netherlands, the United States of America and Japan.

Responsibility for the Company’s anti-slavery initiatives is as follows:

  1. Policies: the Board of Directors is responsible for creating and reviewing policies. The process by which policies are developed take into account best practices and adapting the same to the needs of the Group companies.
  2. Due diligence: The CFO is responsible for due diligence in relation to known or suspected instances of modern slavery and human trafficking.

Training

To ensure a good understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains, the Company requires relevant employees (for example those involved in employment processes or in the sourcing of products) to complete an online training webinar.

Policies

ComponentSource is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or our supply chains. This Statement affirms our intention to act ethically at all times in our business relationships.

The following policies set down our approach to the identification of modern slavery risks and steps to be taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in our operations:

  1. Whistleblowing policy - ComponentSource encourages all its employees, customers and other business partners to report any concerns related to its direct activities or its supply chains.
  2. Employee Code of Conduct - The Code of Conduct (and related policies on Business Ethics and Competition, and Truthful Representations) in the Employee Handbook sets down the actions and behaviour expected of employees when representing ComponentSource.
  3. Business Ethics Policy – this corporate policy includes sections further reinforcing expected standards of behaviour in relation to Human Rights and Bribery and Corruption.

Due Diligence Processes for Slavery And Human Trafficking

The Company undertakes due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers, and regularly reviews its existing suppliers. The Company’s due diligence process includes building long-standing relationships with suppliers and making clear its expectations of business partners.

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement will be regularly reviewed and updated as necessary. The Board of Directors is fully committed to the implementation of this Statement.
