  • Performance improvements and SampleDataBlockSeries
    • Zooming and panning of large IntensityGridSeries (heatmaps) when using PixelRendering is up to 100 times faster. CPU load decreases from 80% to 20%.
    • Improved PointLineSeries3D rendering speed and interaction. Data point tracking is up to 40 times faster.
    • Improved chart rendering when thousands of annotations are used. Rendering and chart interaction is 10-50 times faster.
    • Polar chart with thousands of Sectors performs up to 10 times faster when using Software11 rendering engine.
    • Added SampleDataBlockSeries, a new series fully optimized for real-time applications.
      • SampleDataBlockSeries offers the best possible performance with least CPU and memory consumption.
      • Allows rendering an extremely high number of data points simultaneously.
      • SampleDataBlockSeries is the optimal series type for real-time medical monitoring applications, such as ECG/EKG, EEG, industrial monitoring applications, telemetry, and waveform vibration monitoring.
      • SampleDataBlockSeries decreases the CPU load and uses up to 50% less memory compared to the previous best series SampleDataSeries. (The difference to PointLineSeries and FreeformPointLineSeries is even bigger).
      • Produces smooth real-time sweeping even with 100 simultaneous series, each with 10,000,000 data points.
  • TradingChart improvements
    • TradingChart component has some new additions. MarketStack data provider is now supported. The built-in provider now provides real-time trading data updates up to 1 minute instead of just end-of-day data. (It is recommended that you get your own API key for the data providers to ensure that no data request limit is hit).
    • Improved X-axis label handling to prevent them overlapping each other when zooming in or out.
    • Two new technical indicators are now available: Stochastic Oscillator and Money Flow Index.
  • Other new features
    • Font sizes and styles are now set correctly.
    • Added GetSegmentsAtPoint() method for LineCollection, which can be used to identify individual line segments for example when mouse clicking a line collection.
    • Users can now change legend box checkbox size.
    • Walls in 3D view can now be set fully transparent, in which case only the grid lines are visible.
  • Interactive examples application changes
    • Added several new MVVM versions of the existing examples. Now almost every demo example can be extracted as a stand-alone MVVM project utilizing binding.
    • Implemented a feedback system to Interactive Examples application, allowing individual examples to be rated. This helps create better and more suitable examples in the future.
    • Interactive Examples and Dev Center now ask for permission to collect anonymous user statistics to help improve the applications and to provide the best possible user experience in the future. Regardless of this being allowed or declined, this option can be changed any time via DevCenter or Interactive Examples and does not affect the applications or the charts anyhow. No user statistics from using the LightningChart itself is collected.
