機能

  • Added support for Microsoft IntuneWin Packages.
    • Convert an existing app installer into an IntuneWin package (.intunewin) with an easy to use wizard. The wizard is an alternative to the console app Microsoft Win32 Content Prep Tool and provides you with the same functionality for creating packages and offers the following advantages:
      • Regular user interface instead of command-line switches.
      • Various validation rules.
      • Visual control of the package content, size, and the whole process of package creation.
    • The Create IntuneWin package can be invoked from the PACE Suite Launcher > Tasks tab > Package, Virtualize tab.
  • Enhanced User Experience for MSI Packages - Fonts Registration
    • The new view under the Package Designer displays files that will be installed and registered as Fonts on the target system.
    • Here you can register a new Font, pointing to the file inside the package or import Fonts from the file system.
    • In both cases, the Package Designer will create and maintain all the necessary MSI database structure to ensure that the specified Fonts are installed to the target system correctly.
  • Added support of local Microsoft Hyper-V.
    • Extended the list of supported virtualization solutions, where you can run remote capturing and testing in the manual or automated mode.
    • It is now possible to configure virtual machines of the local Microsoft Hyper-V that can be run even on the Microsoft Windows desktop version (previously, it was supported only on Windows Server OS). The full list of places, where you can run capturing and testing includes:
      • Local host.
      • VM on remote VMware ESX.
      • VM on remote Microsoft Hyper-V.
      • (New) VM on local Microsoft Hyper-V.
      • VM on local Oracle VirtualBox.
  • Product Renaming
    • Renamed the well-known MSI Generator to Package Generator to better match the functionality and purpose of this product.
  • Licensing Mechanism Changed
    • All PACE Suite licenses purchased after January 1, 2022, will be per-user licenses, which grant the right to install and activate the Software on a single device only and allow a maximum of two transfers of the License to other devices automatically.
    • Further License transfers to a new device can be made, but will require manual interactions with the PACE Suite Support team.
    • PACE Suite components that perform capturing and testing can be run on any number of devices, i.e. computers and virtual machines, with no License activation restrictions.
  • Other Improvements
    • Updated the pre-defined list of Custom Actions conditions to ignore CASE.
    • Removed the limitation for Product Name lengths for MSI packages.
