機能
- YAML Grid View - Previously, XMLSpy added support for editing and validating YAML in Text View. Now, in Version 2025, XMLSpy includes a new Grid View for editing YAML documents in a visual way. Like Grid View for XML and JSON, YAML grid provides a graphical representation of the document structure that is immediately easier to understand than the corresponding code in text view.
- Extended YAML support in Text View - Existing support for editing and validating YAML in Text View has been updated to allow for more efficient formatting and better performance, with commands to:
- Pretty print
- Strip whitespace
- YAML Schema Support - Though YAML does not have a formalized schema spec, YAML instances are often validated against JSON Schemas, which is supported by XMLSpy. Now, in Version 2025, XMLSpy also supports validation against JSON Schemas written in YAML syntax. These YAML schemas can also be edited in XMLSpy's graphical schema editor, which provides a visual representation that makes complex structures easier to model and understand, as well as visual tools like drag-and-drop editing and context-sensitive entry helpers.
- Support for OpenAPI extensions in JSON Schema Editor - The OpenAPI Specification (OAS) is a standardized format for defining and describing RESTful APIs. It provides a language-agnostic way to outline the structure, endpoints, request and response formats, parameters, authentication methods, and other aspects of an API. It provides developers with tools for automation, validation, and collaboration, ensuring that APIs are well-structured, conform to best practices, and integrate smoothly into modern development workflows. The JSON Schema Editor in XMLSpy now supports validating and editing JSON Schemas based on the OAS. This includes support for extensions including discriminator, xml, format, and external docs that can be configured in the Details entry helper.
- Find & Replace across ZIP archives - XMLSpy includes a powerful Find in Files window for searching across the current file, all open files, inside a folder, or in an XMLSpy Project. Now, users can also search files included in ZIP archives with advanced options including searching by regular expression.
- EBA XBRL data quality checks - In addition to requiring validation against the EBA taxonomy, the European Banking Authority outlines additional, optional data quality checks as part of its guidelines for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data reported by financial institutions. These measures go beyond the mandatory validations, offering institutions additional mechanisms to improve data quality and ensure compliance with regulatory standards prior to submission.
- Opting to implement additional quality checks can minimize risks associated with incorrect data submissions and enhance overall compliance with regulatory requirements. XMLSpy now includes the option to run additional data quality checks when validating EBA XBRL documents.
- Updated database support - XMLSpy and all database-enabled Altova software products connect to 15 of the most popular database types and numerous versions thereof. In this release, updated support has been added for:
- MySQL 8.4
- MariaDB 10.11, 11.2, 11.4
- Support for most recent Eclipse versions - XMLSpy supports seamless integration in the Eclipse IDE with new support added for versions:
- Support for video links in Projects - The XMLSpy Examples project that ships with the software now includes numerous links to video tutorials and training pages to help developers learn more about specific features or technologies. Likewise, users can add video links to their own XMLSpy projects.
