New in Infragistics Windows Forms 2016 Volume 2

• WinOfficeNavBar - Provides a simplistic way to navigate between views, while offering a means to quickly access a minimalistic subset of a view within a popup window called the peek window.
• WinColorPalette, WinColorPicker, and WinPaletteInfo - The color selecting experience has been redesigned to provide a modern UI allowing you to have any color you like.
• WinZoomPanel - New control container which allows the user to zoom into its contents and then to scroll through the zoomed contents. This makes your UI more accessible by letting the user determine the preferred size of your controls for optimal interaction.

• xamCategoryChart - New category chart can be easily configured to display category data using a simple API. All you need to do is bind your data (a collection or a collection of collections). By using a smart Data Adapter, the data is analyzed and the appropriate visualization is rendered. However, you can also explicitly specify the chart type by setting the ChartType to Line, Area, Column, Point, Spline, SplineArea, StepArea, StepLine, or Waterfall.
• xamDataChart - significantly improved performance and a new property ConsolidatedColumnVerticalPosition is introduced in this release in order to determine the positioning logic to use for columns which have been consolidated into a single visual element.
• Design Changes - Redesigned the defaults of the xamDataChart, xamPieChart, xamDoughnutChart, xamFunnelChart, xamRadialGauge, xamLinearGauge, xamBulletGraph and xamSparkline controls.
• New Chart Series (CTP) - Two new chart series, scatter area series and scatter contour series, are added to the chart in this release. These 2 series are a 2D version of the 3D surface chart control.
• xamGeographicMap - Legend is displayed for Geographic Map (CTP).
• xamShapeChart (CTP) - Displays cartesian and geographic shapes on a chart surface. It can be used display items such as floor plans, diagrams, and maps.

  • Slice Selection - You can set the SelectionMode property in order to support single or multiple slice selection and then check the SelectedItem or SelectedItems properties in order to see what data items are associated with those selected slices.
  • LabelClick event - Fires when the labels of the pie slices are clicked.
  • Label Coloring - Specify the color of the labels depending on whether they are rendered inside or outside of a pie slice.
• Infragistics Excel Engine - Obtain all references for a given rule plus new method for comparing data validation rules.
• Royal Dark Theme - A consistent and simplified new theme enriched with more visual states, featuring more depth and improved UX.
• xamCalendar, xamMonthCalendar, xamDateTimeEditor, xamDateTimeInput - Added ability to configure the scrolling direction.
• xamDataPresenter Cross-Field Record Filtering - Now supports the definition of filtering rules with logical connections between them.
• xamPropertyGrid - Now supports assigning of data template selector on an editor definition.
• xamRichTextEditor - All document adapters extending from RichTextDocumentAdapterBase have a new DocumentLoadError event which is raised when an exception is thrown while attempting to load a document.

• Angular JS 2.0 - Ignite UI widgets have component wrappers for Angular 2.
• React (CTP) - Ignite UI widgets have component wrappers for React.
• ASP.NET Core 1.0
  • Ignite UI MVC Helpers now support ASP.NET Core 1.0.
  • Ignite UI now provides Tag Helpers for ASP.NET Core 1.0
• DPI Scaling - High DPI Scaling is enabled by default now which makes the components look much sharper and crisper than before. Components that have the DPI Scaling by default now are - igDataChart, igPieChart, igFunnelChart, igDoughnutChart, igRadialGauge, igLinearGauge, igBulletGraph, igSparkline, igRadialMenu.
• Standard Moduling Support - All of IgniteUI JavaScript files contain AMD module definitions. Therefore these files can be loaded using standard module loaders such as Require.JS, System.JS etc.
• NuGet Packages - New Ignite UI NuGet packages are available, including a package for creating .NET Core applications.
• New igCategoryChart control - With a simplified API this control can be easily configured to display category data.
• igDataChart - Improved performance, new ConsolidatedColumnVerticalPosition property, redesigned default display and reduced file size.
• igDataSource Label Styling - You can now specify the color of the funnel chart's inner and outer labels.

New in Infragistics NUCLiOS 2016 Volume 2

• New IGCompactCalendarView control - Displays a month in a compact format. Unlike the IGCalendarView you cannot navigate to different views. Instead, the control allows you to quickly look through a calendar and see what days you have appointments.
