Features
- Major update to internal VT protocol.
- Brand new Adaptive Bit Rate (ABR) algorithm sits on top of Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) protocol (which is now the primary means of transport).
- 4 transport transmission modes (latency vs quality):
- Real Time (50-150 ms delay) - minimal transmission delay, high risk of quality loss, use this one on very good connections.
- Ultra Low (150-750 ms delay) - this is still a very low delay, but has some room for error correction and better quality.
- Low (750-2500 ms delay) - shifts focus to transmission quality, but still keeps latency within bounds for many use cases.
- Reliable (2500-5000 ms delay) - use this one when latency is not a requirement.
- Encoder selection (H.264 or H.265).
- Full screen preview.
- Big fixes and other improvements.
Important Note: Due to major updates to the protocol, this new version (v1.6.x) is not compatible with earlier releases (v1.5.x) - please make sure that you update the software on both the sending and receiving sides.
