• New Features
  • Preserve Annotation Markup after Upgrade - PrizmDoc now allows you to create viewing packages as part of the markup saving process. This allows you to preserve the rendered document and thus keep your markup intact with it even after upgrading to newer versions of PrizmDoc. Creating viewing packages during the markup saving lets you avoid extra resource usage when markup is not used.
  • Microsoft Office 2024 Support - The PrizmDoc Viewer Microsoft Office conversion add-on option is now compatible with Microsoft Office 2024 for PrizmDoc Server running on Windows 2019/2022 platform.
• Improvements
  • Text Extraction in a viewing session is now limited by the ViewingSession countOfInitialPages property instead of automatically extracting text for all pages in the document. Requests for pages after the countOfInitialPages limit will restart extraction and complete the remainder of the document.
  • You can now select multiple PII entities by holding the CTRL key and selecting them in the PII Entities panel in the Viewer.
  • Introduced a new Viewing Session parameter that allows you to use existing viewing packages for viewing, while avoiding their creation for every viewed document.
  • PrizmDoc Viewer now allows you to share workfiles between servers within the PrizmDoc Server Cluster using Azure Block Blob underlying Storage.
  • You can now navigate the main tabs of the Viewer by using the left and right arrow keys. Using the tab key will change focus to the toolbar buttons instead of the next menu tab.
  • The Viewer toolbar button tab order now begins with the buttons on the left side of the toolbar.
• Product Updates
  • Database Support Enhancement - Starting with PrizmDoc Server v14.5, support for Microsoft SQL Server has been added alongside existing support for MySQL. Users can leverage either MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server for their database needs when deploying PrizmDoc Server.
  • The Client Side Viewing feature no longer requires the use of a Metered License, Offline Metered License, or OEM License.
  • Creation of PDF-only viewing packages in the On-Demand Caching mode is no longer limited to the Client Side Viewing scenario.
• Security Updates
  • Updated LibreOffice to address security vulnerabilities and integrate the improvements in the LibreOffice rendering engine. This update enhances the overall stability, security, and document compatibility in the product.
  • Updated PrizmDoc Services, PrizmDoc Application Services (PAS), and the accusoft/prizmdoc-viewer-eval container image to run on the newer Node.js v22.15.0, taking advantage of recent security fixes and other changes in Node.js.
  • Updated MongoDB included in the product to version 8.0.8 on all supported platforms, taking advantage of recent security fixes.
• Documentation Updates
  • Created a new section: How to Upgrade PrizmDoc for upgrading to Release v13.28 and Release v14.x to provide you with the details and steps you need to upgrade.
  • Added a new topic: Annotate & Redact Documents with details on how to add support for annotating and redacting documents using the PrizmDoc Viewer Client user interface and PrizmDoc Viewer APIs.
  • Added a new topic: Keep Markup Intact with Documents with details for keeping markup intact for new documents and also preparing for an upgrade when you have existing markup.
  • Added a new topic: Getting Started with PrizmDoc AI Features to walk you through the process of setting up PrizmDoc with the Process Manager and AI Hub.
  • Added a new Troubleshooting topic: E-Signatures with Asian Characters Fail to Burn-in.
  • Updated the AI Features topic with links to the new Getting Started with PrizmDoc AI Features topic.

• Addressed an issue where redacting a string with a linebreak preceded by a space would fail to match due to the new line being replaced by a double space.
• Addressed an issue in the PrizmDoc Viewer where it displayed images overlapped for specific MS Word documents in LibreOffice rendering mode.
• Addressed an issue where PrizmDoc Server's viewingSession/restrictions endpoint returned unexpected "null" response for email and PDF portfolio attachments, causing failures in saving markup layers for the attachments.
• Improved PrizmDoc Application Services (PAS) to gracefully handle possible unexpected responses from PrizmDoc Server's viewingSession/restrictions endpoint.
• Addressed an issue in the PrizmDoc Viewer where a freehand annotation consisting of a straight line was not visible.
