SourceAnywhere Standalone は SQL ベースのソースコード管理/ バージョン管理ツールとして、Microsoft Visual SourceSafeをリプレースできるように設計されました。SourceAnywhere Standalone はソース管理/ バージョン管理を保管し、Microsoft SQL Server でのリポジトリーの中のファイルと履歴を保管します。SourceAnywhere Standalone Server は1つの SQL データベースをサポートします、データベースに限りなく多くのリポジトリーを作成することができます。The SourceAnywhere Standalone client は SourceSafe Explorerユーザインタフェースに似ている GUI アプリケーションです。ユーザーが類似のやり方でたいていの SourceSafe オペレーションを行なうことができます。
