Pivot Grid

• Field List - To make it easier to add or delete items in the PivotGrid control’s grouping bar, a window called Pivot Grid Field List has been provided. This window contains all the fields that are bound to items defined in the PivotFields property of the control.
• Grouping Bar Context Menu - The grouping bar context menu allows you to launch a Pivot Grid Field List, sort items in the grouping bar, and refresh the grid with updated data. It contains the Reload Data option—used to refresh the grid with a current item source—and the Show Field List option—which launches the Pivot Grid Field List. The Order option is used to change the positions of items in the grouping bar. Items can be moved to the beginning or end of the list, or they can be moved one step to the left or right.
• Serialization/De-Serialization - The PivotGrid control allows you to save the current layout of a grid as an XML file that can be restored anytime. With this feature, properties like PivotColumns, PivotRows, PivotCalculations, and Filters can be serialized.

• Grouping Bar - The PivotGrid control’s grouping bar enables you to drag and drop fields between different areas, such as columns, rows, values, and filters. By using the grouping bar, you can add, rearrange, or remove fields to show data exactly the way you want. The headers identify fields in the pivot grid, and they contain a caption string, which identifies the field's content, a sort indicator, which identifies the sort order applied to the field's values, and a Filter button, which is used to filter field values. Headers for all the visible fields are contained within the header area. The headers for row and column fields are displayed within the row and column header areas, respectively. The headers for data fields are displayed within the data header area.
