New Licenses

ComponentOne products are licensed per-developer. Dependent on geographic location, licenses may be available as an Annual (Timed) Subscription License or as a Perpetual License with a 1 Year Support and Update Maintenance Subscription. Timed Licenses need to be renewed each year to continue to use the software.

Renewals

After your Annual (Timed) Subscription License expires, you can renew to receive another year of software usage, upgrades, bug fixes and new features. If you do not renew you must stop using the software. For Perpetual Licenses, these include an Update and Support Maintenance Subscription. If you choose not to renew the maintenance, you can continue using the last version you are eligible to use.

Upgrades

Dependent on geographic location upgrades may be available. These upgrades are for perpetual licenses of previous versions of the same product (e.g. from any version of ComponentOne WinUI and MAUI Edition（英語版） to the latest version of ComponentOne WinUI and MAUI Edition（英語版）), they provide a perpetual license of the upgraded product and and include a 1 Year Updates and Support Maintenance Subscription.

Co-term / Alignment

Previous Versions

Is the license permanent (perpetual) or temporal (time-limited)?

Dependent on geographic location, licenses may be available as an Annual (Timed) Subscription License or as a Perpetual License with a 1 Year Support and Update Maintenance Subscription. Both license types entitle you to one year of free upgrades.

What happens after my subscription expires?

Annual (Timed) Subscription Licenses
If you do not renew your subscription license you will no longer be able to develop with the controls. If you need to build and compile new applications, or make updates to existing applications you will need to purchase an Annual Subscription License.

Perpetual Licenses
If you do not renew your maintenance subscription, you are no longer entitled to updates or support, but you may continue to use the version of the product you received during your active maintenance subscription.

Can I co-term (align) my existing licenses?

Yes - ComponentSource can arrange to co-term your licenses, even if they were not originally purchased through us. Please call us or to discuss your needs.

Can I upgrade my license?

Upgrades may be available dependent on geographic location. The upgrade is for perpetual licenses from previous versions of the same product (e.g. from any version of ComponentOne WinUI and MAUI Edition（英語版） to the latest version of ComponentOne WinUI and MAUI Edition（英語版）).

Can I buy an old product version?

Is Source Code available?

Can I install my license on more than one machine?

Licenses are per-developer. A developer may install their license on up to two machines.

Can a license be transferred from one developer to another?

Licenses may be transferred from one developer to another or from one server to another. In this case, the original copy must be completely removed from the original developer's machine (or from the original server).

What type of support do I get?

Standard Support is included with all subscriptions. It includes:

  • The option to email your project for analysis

Platinum Support includes all entitlements of Standard Support, plus:
