• Split output preview - StyleVision allows you to design XML and database reports with simultaneous output in HTML, RTF, PDF, Microsoft Word, and text. Now, in addition to previewing each output format rendered separately from the design view, you can turn on Split Output Preview to see the changes you make in design view reflected in the output in real time.
• PDF preview with Microsoft Edge - In addition to previewing PDF output with Adobe Acrobat Reader, StyleVision can now generate PDFs using Microsoft Edge. Two options are available: native rendering using default browser functionality or rendering in Edge using a JavaScript library. The latter option (selected by default) has the added advantage of remembering scroll position when the PDF is re-rendered after the design has been changed.
• Quick PDF generation - PDF generation has been optimized for speed, especially on subsequent rendering, which can be up to 10 times faster.
• HTML preview with Microsoft Edge - Like PDF, HTML output is now generated using Microsoft Edge (Microsoft Internet Explorer is also available as a legacy option). Edge preview is significantly faster, and the browser can remember the scroll position when working.
• Native support for MySQL and MariaDB - StyleVision supports connecting to MySQL and MariaDB (as well as numerous other databases) via generic ADO/ODBC/JDBC connections. StyleVision now supports native connections to them without the need for external drivers, which is much faster and more convenient.
• Integration with Eclipse 2023-06 and 2023-09 - Support for integrating StyleVision in Eclipse has been updated to include the latest versions of the IDE.
• Horizontal mouse wheel scrolling - To make it easier to navigate large designs, StyleVision users can now scroll horizontally using the mouse wheel by pressing the shift key or tilting the mousewheel left or right.
• Support for FOP 2.9 - Support has been added for the latest version of the FOP for generating PDFs.
