Our developers are aware of the issues that some customers have had using our components on Windows 95, and are working to resolve them. Typically, for older operating systems, there will be a few system files that need to be updated. Installing Internet Explorer updates these system files, so installing IE 5.5 or later normally updates these files so that our components will work on older operating systems such as Windows 95. ComponentOne components are sold on a yearly subscription basis. For example, if you purchase the v3 2005 version of VSView you will be entitled to any product updates released through the v3 2006 release. You can continue to use any updates that you receive under your subscription after a year, but you will not be entitled to future updates unless you renew. Our ActiveX components have been in version 8 since late 2002, so this does mean that customers may renew a subscription for the same major version. Sometimes this means that you pay for the same version, but this also means that if a new version is released within your subscription you receive that version. If you have a studio subscription, our yearly subscription model means that you receive any new products that are released as a part of that studio, in addition to the updates.
