Features
- Notification Center
- The Notification Center’s access point in the application header lets you view your notifications from any page in YouTrack.
- The Notification Center updates you on changes in the issues and articles you’re subscribed to, alerts you when another user mentions you in an issue or a comment and shows reactions from other users to your comments.
- Most of the messages delivered to the Notification Center support additional actions that let you keep up with the conversation.
- In your notifications settings, you can now choose how you’d like to be notified - via email, Jabber or the Notification Center to get all the news without leaving YouTrack.
- Time Tracking in YouTrack Lite - You can now add and view work items in YouTrack Lite.
- Working with issue updates
- Search for all subtasks - When tasks in your projects have a tree-like structure with several layers, you can now use one command to search for all the subtasks of a specific issue, regardless of the number of levels in the hierarchy.
- Active links in the issue fields - YouTrack is now able to handle links in custom fields in issues. This means you can paste a link into a field of type string and then navigate to it in one click.
- Imports updates
- Imports are no longer an experimental feature. YouTrack’s import wizard lets you set up continuous imports from Jira and GitHub. You can also extract issues from other trackers, like Mantis and Redmine, migrate your tasks and projects from one YouTrack instance to another and import your knowledge base from Confluence to keep all your team’s assets in one place.
- For projects imported from Jira, where a history of VCS changes is used, you can now rely on seeing the history of commit messages and pull requests from an integration with GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket in your imported issues.
- Enhancements in user and access management
- Customizable user profiles - In addition to user credentials, emails and names, Administrators in YouTrack can now let users update their user profiles by adding custom attributes. These attributes can be used to store various information, including the employee start date, employee ID, office location, job title and phone number.
- Сustom attributes can be synchronized with your Microsoft Active Directory server or accessed via REST API or in YouTrack workflows, which opens up even more possibilities for automating your process.
- Nested groups of users - For teams and companies with a structure that is not very flat, YouTrack now lets administrators nest a group of users under another group. A nested group inherits all of the roles that are granted to the group that it is nested under.
- This simplifies managing access to multiple projects and granting progressive levels of access for your teams. By giving some permissions to one group of users, an administrator can ensure that all the included groups have the same permissions updated.
- Multi-domain support for Google auth module - This setting lets Administrators restrict the creation of user accounts to users with an email address from a specific domain. For larger teams and expanded projects, one domain may not be enough. You can specify multiple domains, by adding additional domains to each new line.
